Tropical Storm Grace Continues to Trek Westward

Significant Weakening Forecast as Grace Approaches the Lesser Antilles

At 11 p.m., the center of Tropical Storm Grace was located near latitude 13.3 degrees North, longitude 32.5 West. Grace is moving toward the west near 15 miles per hour, and a continued general westward motion with a slight increase in forward speed is expected over the next 48 hours.

Maximum sustained winds are near 50 miles per hour with higher gusts. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 60 miles from the center. Little change in strength is forecast during the next day or so, followed by gradual weakening thereafter, according to the National Hurricane Center.

The National Hurricane Center will issue the next complete advisory at 5 a.m.
