VITEMA Communications Volunteer Fred Kleber, VITEMA Director Elton Lewis and VITEMA Facilities and Operations Manager Ethelbert “Bert” Benjamin, Jr. are recognized by the White House Communications Agency on January 3, 2012.

Director BG Lewis said, “I am very proud of the efforts put forth by Mr. Ethelbert “Bert” Benjamin and VITEMA Communications Volunteers John Ellis and Fred Kleber. I must note that the superb attitude and impeccable professionalism referred to by the White House Communications Agency is not something that I am surprised by.” He said, “When I think of Bert, Fred and John I think of Aristotle’s quote which states that, “Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”

Director BG Lewis said, “Bert, John and Fred enjoy what they do, and I know that it was indeed an honor for them to provide service to the White House Communications Agency. I am also happy that they received recognition for the work that they did, as I think that people ought to be recognized for exhibiting exemplary traits. Bert is a stellar employee Fred and John is the kind of volunteer who adds value to VITEMA. They are valued human resources of the organization.”

Additionally, Director BG Lewis said that he was proud that the Territory and VITEMA possessed the capabilities that were necessary to provide critical communications for the Vice President, the White House Staff and the United States Secret Service.
